ECHOeS from the TABLE
AboutWhat, who & why?
ECHOES from the TABLE is an initiative that began in 2025 at the Carrefour Communautaire Beausoleil with the aim of supporting the individual and collective development of the francophone and francophile female community in Miramichi and its region.
We aim to become a reference for welcoming, valuing and mutual support among francophone and francophile women.
We are women with stories shaped by our unique life journeys. We understand the challenges that women can face in life, especially when they have to confront them alone.
But we have also witnessed how a woman can live her best story despite the changes and challenges that life imposes. We know that when women support other women, they can contribute to writing beautiful stories and give each other the strength and courage to use their own voices.
That’s why we want to be among those who rekindle the flame in others rather than extinguish it. We exist precisely to be a source of light and support for the women of Miramichi, regardless of their background, beliefs, social status, age, culture or life stage.
Whoever you are, the Table is set, and you have your place !
FAQ ( Please, read ! )
Who can participate ?
The Table is open to all adult women in Miramichi and the surrounding area, francophones and francophiles.
How much does it cost ?
Nothing. Participation is free, but since spaces are limited, you must register in advance and confirm your attendance. Registration is also necessary so that we can plan meal quantities, as you can understand.
In what language are the Tables held ?
In French, BUT... English-speaking women capable of holding a simple conversation in French, even imperfect French, are all welcome at the Table.
How does a Table work ?
In the simplest way! Think of it as a home meeting between good friends to relax after a long week!
The Table is open from 6 PM.
Upon your arrival, you will be welcomed by Gina. Once all participants are gathered, we will start the meal and share around questions specifically designed to make you comfortable, get to know each other, and discuss various topics related to women’s life realities. We will ensure that everyone has a chance to speak and expresses themselves according to their comfort level. The meeting lasts 2 hours, and we will do our best to respect this allotted time. At the end, we hope you will leave happy with your evening and with new connections for your life in Miramichi.
Can I invite a friend ?
Absolutely!
Feel free to share this initiative with all the women around you who could benefit from it. However, don’t forget to register them or ask them to register by sharing the link to our site.
Are there any rules at the Table ?
Yes, three.
Each Table requires planning. To be able to offer you meetings that meet your expectations, we absolutely need your cooperation.
1. Once you have registered, we kindly ask you to confirm your attendance or inform us of your absence at least 48 hours before the gathering. This allows us to offer your spot to another woman on the waiting list. It’s a matter of courtesy and respect —the same consideration you would appreciate in return. We trust that you understand.
2. Two hours go by quickly, especially when sharing a meal and good conversation. Out of respect for your schedule, we want to honor the announced timeframe. That’s why we kindly ask you to arrive on time for the Table, at 6 PM.
3. During our gatherings, we ask that you respect each person’s speaking time and refrain from making any criticisms or judgments about what is shared. Confidentiality is also essential in creating a safe and trusting environment where we all feel comfortable expressing ourselves.
By following these simple rules, we can ensure that each Table is a positive and enriching experience for everyone involved.

Gina Oum
My name is Gina, and I have been living in Miramichi for almost two years. I am passionate about the women’s cause in the sense that I understand their needs, share their dreams, and have faith in their potential. I am an eternal idealist who continues to believe that despite all the challenges of our modern society, which leaves many women disillusioned with life and others, it is still possible to build healthy and authentic relationships, provided that each person contributes intentionally, daring to be frank and vulnerable.
For nearly a decade as a women community leader, I have been at the forefront of the difficult realities that women can experience behind the smiles they display, even when they seem surrounded. I have accompanied dozens of women of all ages and in different life stages, and that’s also why I have witnessed their strength and resilience when their need for expression and relational authenticity was met. It is precisely this need that I want to continue to address, this time for the women of Miramichi and the surrounding area. I therefore welcome you to my Table, where it will once again be possible for you to experience the richness of genuine human relationships.
